The Big "3"

Today's the day!!
Mari & Zach are now 3 years old! It's very hard for me to take in- to me it seems like they were just born and I guess it always will...

We're about to take the kids to the San Antonio Zoo to see the amamals and ride the train that travels between the Zoo, Botanical Gardens and the Witte Museum. The kids just love it so we thought that would be a great way to start the day! Birthday Party will be later when everyone can come over. I still have to make the cakes and decorate (oh, and clean the house!) so we better get going! Here are the twin's birthday shots:

First Day of Fall

Well, I expected to get a beautiful shot of the (not so) turning leaves of San Antonio, but instead we had a very rare lightning storm. It was really something to see, and a little scary, but I just had to get a few shots!

I let the kids look out the window at the "lightming" (as they say) and I had a flashback to my childhood... I've always loved to watch lightning but I was told on countless occasions to "get away from that window!" I just had to let Mari & Zach see a little before putting them to bed though, just to see how they would react. They thought it was like watching fireworks!

While Mari was napping Zach got to play in rain for a few minutes. This was our second rain ALL SUMMER! It's about as scarce as snow around here, so when it does rain we all PLAY!

Transportation Museum Trip

It's been right here in our own backyard and we never knew it! Zachariah just LOVES trains, so we're always trying to find things to do and places to go that relate to trains... Well, this place was so great! They had several train cars to tour, a miniature track set up with Thomas the Tank Engine (Zach's favorite!), plus you get to ride on an actual full size train!! It was a short ride but the kids just loved it! We will definitely be going back.

Our 1st Blog

Well, we've finally figured out the whole "blogging thing" and surprisingly it's quite simple! I should have done this long ago! Not really anything to post right now 'cause it's 2:30am, but at least it's started and I'm going to try to keep it up! Check back for photos of the younguns!
